COMPLETE CIRCLE: Bio
Band History
Many bands attribute their success to talent, image, and patience. Although all of these factors apply, CC attributes their success to chemistry and the sheer joy of doing what they love... writing and performing music!
CC originally formed back in 1996 as a double brother band from Fayetteville, Pa. Brothers Levi and Jesse Landis started playing with brothers Wilbur and Brandon Brookens, which birthed an incredible songwriting team!
As years passed, the guys wrote and produced their first CD entitled, The Road Less Traveled (2000). Filled with catchy guitar and piano riffs, intricate layered vocals, and surefire pop songs, the band sold over 800 CDs. Soon after the release of The Road, CC fell into a hectic touring schedule in south-central Pa and northern MD including three college campuses.
In 2000, work for the second CD, Trouble, Beauty, Trouble (2002) started due to such high demand by the beloved fan base. With the release of the CD, CC gained national exposure on over 400 college radio stations (Shuteye Records) and was thrust into an even more in depth tour schedule such as the Summer Days tour that spawned from Lake Placid, NY to Tallahassee, Fla. in the summer of 2003. In Spring 2003, CC played with contemporary rock act Audio Adrenaline (ForeFront Records) and split the bill with recording artists, Better Than Ezra (Electra Records) in Fall 2003. Trouble. Beauty, Trouble, sold over 1400 copies.
In the winter of 2004, singer/guitar player Levi Landis left the band for personal reasons, leaving three original members of CC. Beck, Hann and Gross joined back in 2006 and the band released their anticipated and most exciting 3rd CD in November 2006
Now, a Complete Circle show is not only filled with catchy originals that have driving rhythms and leads, killer drumbeats, and superb 3-4 part harmonies, but with a stage show that is twice as fantastic and exciting! Everyone teams up to mold the perfect rocking show in true Complete Circle fashion every time. Brookens and Landis trade off as front men, Hann fills in for drums when Brandon smokes the keyboard, Beck’s rhythm guitar allows Bill to wail on his leads and Bob adds a new dimension with harps and horn.
With much success behind their belts, Complete Circle is on their way to achieve much more! So be on the lookout for one of the Tri-states hottest acts! Be prepared, they may come to a venue near you
Brandon Brookens - Vocals, Drums, Keys, Percussion and Acoustic Guitar
Brandon Brookens was born January 23, 1982 in the small rural town of Fayetteville, Pa. He started to play the piano at the age of 9 and drums at 12. In junior high, Brandon played the trumpet, in which he was later kicked out due to disciplinary actions. " I couldn't help that I was universally unique, but maybe I did provoke a lil anarchy?", he claims.
As a young teenager, Brandon gave up the trumpet and began writing and recording at a nearby studio with Complete Circle in its infant stages with older brother Bill, Jesse, and his younger brother. As time grew with Complete Circle, Brandon developed a passion for singing and songwriting that formed his spirituality and philosophy of life. All of these elements can be found in his music and lyrics. He claims “music completes his soul” and “is a way to speak out”.
Presently, Brandon is 25 and resides in Chambersburg (C-burg). Aside from music, he has his bachelor’s degree in biology from Shippensburg University and is fascinated with nature, religion, and the universe. He is very ambitious and wants Complete Circles music to spread words of image, reality, and faith to everyone…
Mike Quinlevin - Guitar
Mike, age 23, grew up in California and moved here when he was a teenager. Mike currently goes to school and plays guitar with Complete Circle. Influenced in musical styles such as ragtime, early blues, and rock, the band cordially welcomes the youngster and loves what he brings to the music of Complete Circle
Jesse Landis - Vocals, Bass and Acoustic Guitar
Born1981 in Chambersburg, PA into a family with a love, admiration and passion of music, it seemed less circumstantial than fate that he would make music his life pursuit. He has taken part in several projects which has included “Milk”, “Two Songs and a Break” and “Complete Circle” and has made 4 album length CD’s, all while earning a degree in criminal justice. He uses his education and experience, in combination with his political, spiritual, and emotional beliefs, and channels them into his voice and gift of music.
Wilbur "Bill" Brookens - Electric Lead and Rhythm Guitar and Vocals
Raised by his musician parents, Bill was always around music. He began to play just for the fun of it, with his brother and the Landis brothers at a very young age. He sites the Beatles, Hendrix and his father’s traveling band, Billy Curtis and the Buzzards as his early influences.
Shawn Hahn - Drums, Percussian, Backup Vocals and Sound
Shawn plays drums and percussion. He also is involved with the latest incarnation of Demolitia. Other than working with the bands, he also is a freelance audio engineer. He graduated from The Omega Studio's School of Applied Recording Arts & Sciences in June of 2004. He can't stand the thought of not having football for the next few months. He's a die-hard Steelers fan. Always has been, always will be. And that's all you need to know about him unless you ask. And feel free to ask more @ MagickChylde on AIM. Bye now...
